Buying Tips For buying a Brand New Sony Alpha Digital Camera Online?

As soon as Sony DSLR cameras were first announced, plenty of avid photogs could not wait to see the potential that an electronics giant like Sony could offer to the digicam market. Up until fairly recently, Sony has spent the majority of it’s energy creating starter level Alpha cameras, but that strategy is now beginning to change, and Sony now looks committed to expanding its range of mid range and professional level cameras. The A700 was step 1 along this path, but the recent release of the DSLR-A500 & DSLR-A550 go a great distance to underline this dedication to expand the Alpha range.

When Sony released the A700 in September 2007, it was clear from the specification sheet that this was a camera that they wanted to be regarded seriously. The A700 has a 12. 4 megapixel sensor and a Tough metal body to Give protection to the sensitive electronics on-board4 MP CMOS with a strong metal case to make the camera durable. There are 11 AF points that also include some precision focus sensors that are designed to achieve peak performance in this area. To help keep out dust and water, gaskets were added round the buttons, and the camera can use either Sony Memory Stick cards or CF memory cards for storage. The camera includes a radio control, a high resolution LCD and Sony Super SteadyShot image stabilization. The DSLR-A700 shoots 5 FPS, but comes without Live View, hasn’t got a revolving LCD screen and can’t record HD flicks. An updated Alpha seven hundred series camera should be coming soon, and it will surely address these issues. If you are looking out for a shop offering Sony Alpha A700 digital camera mend you should be able to find a credible repair shop with a pair fast Google searches.

With the A500 and A550, Sony has continued its custom of releasing two versions of what’s basically the same camera. The A500 was released in Oct. ’09 and has a 12.3MP CMOS with ISO capacities up to 12,800. The same tilting 2.7 ‘ LCD screen that’s on the three series Alphas, can be discovered on the A500, as is the twin sensor live view. However , enhancements mean it is now capable of shooting up to four frames per second in live view mode, or 5 frames thru the view-finder. You also have face detection in the new live view, and the smile shutter feature developed for Cyber-shot cameras. An awesome new mode of the camera is built in HDR ( High Dynamic Range ) functionality that combines three photos of different exposure settings into one image to provide impressive effects.

The A550 sells for about $200 more than the Sony A500 DSLR, so what are the differences between the two? Well, the A550 has a much higher resolution sensor, sloping 3-inch LCD screen. It’s also got a larger 14.2 megapixel sensor. The A550 has greater speed and lets you shoot at close to seven frames per second if you lock the exposure in advance, and this ability by itself just might make pro sports photographers think that it is worth the extra two hundred bucks over the A500. If you are looking out for a shop offering Sony DSLR repair service you should be able to find a credible repair center with a pair fast Google searches.

The excellent Sony A500 and Sony A550 are extremely capable electronic cameras that slot in well with the Sony Alpha range, but the absence of an HD movie mode may well make some consumers look towards the mid-range models from Nikon or the semi pro Canon EOS range . If this isn’t something that’s necessary to you, then you can be assured that these are some of the top digital cameras in the Sony DSLR digital camera series.

Our idea here is this will help shed some light on the different advanced models of Sony Alpha digital cameras! And if you ever have the necessity for Sony Cyber-shot repair remember help is just a quick search away.
